1. how good are Be quiet power 2 PSUs? (looking at the 400watt model specifically)

2. is 400watt enough to power a nano and a 6400? I'm not sure whether I have the wallet to spend an extra £30 on a 500watt SFX PSU :/

3. How good a FSP PSUs? I think I can get a cheap 80+ bronze 600watt SFX PSU for like £55 here in japan and if it supports 240volts while being a PSU that won't blow up then then I may as well go grab one :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

FSP's best power supplies are around tier 3 IIRC, but they use yate loon fans which are basicly failure waiting to happen.

as for be quiet power 2's, at least @STRMfrmXMN gives them the thumbs up.

(and you've been around long enough to know the preferred method of checking required wattage :P)

But...but...I can't be bothered...and using CM's calculator it says 364watts which is a tad close to 400watts no?

All PSU calculators online are BS. List out every component of yours and I'll let you know how much is uses. For the record, an overclocked GTX 680 and 3770k on water with voltage way cranked use about 350W under load so I'm not that concerned about the wattage of an SFX system. Also, for the record, the only SFX PSU I recommend is the Corsair SF due to how quiet and honestly great it is.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Specs:

R9 nano (or 1060/RX480 both uses less than the nano so it's all good)

I5 6400

Asrock 110m-itx ac (i think)

1 stick of DDR4 8GB

A SanDisk ssd and a 2.5 inch 750GB HDD (but may just use the 500GB SSD in my primary :p)

That's it really ;)

As tempting as the Corsair SF PSUs are, they are slightly overbudget...as long as it doesn't blow up then it doesn't bother me how noisy it tis :)
