pump is responsible to make the coolant move within the confines of the loop. the cold plate draws the heat from the CPU/IHS and transfers that heat to the coolant. pump moves the coolant to the radiator. the radiator allows air to pass through its fin array, pulling the heat from the radiator. then the coolant returns for the same process.
