This sounds like Edge tab crashes. Edge does the same thing as Chrome, where each tab is a process on the back. When it crashes, Edge recovers, but you loose all state.

They are many reasons why the page crashes. But as you are playing a video, and it is on a big site like YouTube, I would assume that the problem is the graphics card drivers has a bug when rendering the video using the Edge video codec, 'causing the Edge tab to crash.

 

I would try and get the latest drivers from your graphics card chip manufacture. If you are already on there, use 1 version before, maybe there is a bug that was introduced in the latest version. Let's start with that.
