So I should not get a 1070 because a 1060 is perfectly suitable for VR?

The 1060 is great for VR, its all you need, sure. But I say get the best you can afford because you never know what games tomorrow brings.

The problem right now is not many people have VR, and the games that are out currently are not a good representation of what you'll need in 6 months. If all you care about is the short term, then get the 1060m but you WIILL have performance issues in the more demanding titles. A 1060 is good for low settings in relative VR performance moving forward. If you want all the bells and whistles in 6 months you will need a 1080.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Thanks for your answer. I'll go with a 1060 now and switch to a better one when needed.
