Hello,

I have a problem recording BF-4 with Dxtory. The program doesn't detect it running although I am using Direct X and have disabled origin in-game. I can record other games with it flawlessly it's just BF-4 that's causing the problem. Also I do have MSI afterburner but not riva statistics tuner or anything of the sort but I still close anything running in the background that looked like it could cause some issues.

Thank you for your time.

Just a quick note, afterburner requires rivatuner stats to run at all. Rivatuner is whats actually doing the overclocking and rivatuner stats is what tells afterburner what's happening, afterburner is just a ui in effect.

I've not worked with dxtory, so unfortunately I can't help there; just wanted to clear up that though.

Rivatuner core automatically installs with afterburner.

MSI afterburner was a collaboration between MSI and Rivatuner's devs to create an easy to use interface for rivatuner, and add support for a larger install base.

"Afterburner is collaboration between MSI and RivaTuner's developer, Alexey Nicolaychuk. MSI Afterburner uses the RivaTuner core along with an MSI designed user interface."

Without rivatuner statistics installed the on-screen display does not work, nor does some of the other active monitoring of the program; once again I defer to my original post.

You used to be able to select if you want to install a seperate Rivatuner Stat Server or not on the installation of Afterbuner
If it uses the core in the background regardless, why make the comment in the first? its useless information.

Because rss runs in the background when ever you start afterburner, unless you uninstall rss. I was simply correcting a minor mistake, hence prefacing my post with "just a quick note"

And yes, you can choose whether or not to install rss, but if it's installed at all simply starting afterburner will start rss so long as its a compatible version; since afterburner requires rss to fully work.
