Hey there!! Northman here, been a sub of the LTT vids for a while, figured i may as well join the community

 

Been an avid gamer since I was a kid, got pretty deep into PC's for a while thanks to my brother, sold me my first PC and from there it was a downward spiral into addiction lol.... First rig that i was sold and was my very own PC was an old asus cusi fx mobo with a 533 celeron, mx220 vid card, 128mb of pc133 and a 20gb HDD.. at the the time i thought that would last me for a long time, no way i could fill 20gb and it was such a damn fast pc compared to the crappy dell my gf of the time had. my first solid pc from there and probably one of my most memorable builds to date simply because of the amount of research i did into which parts i wanted and what i was able to achieve with that pc was my Asus A7N8X Deluxe Nforce 4 board, AMD Tbred B 2100+ aiuhb stepping, 2gb of Mushkin pc3200 ram with c5 chips and a Nvidia TI4200 256mb... that rig was beast mode for its day, i loved every step of that build and pushing the cpu from its stock 1.73ghz to a healthy and stable 2.5ghz on air. I dont overclock these days, really dont see the need given high clock speeds and multi core cpus, SLI/Crossfire setups also have more less eliminated the need to overclock cards imho but i get how benchmark hounds are always going to be pushing for that extra 20 points on a bench... been there... know the addiction quite well

 

My other major hobby is cars, ive currently got 2 project cars, a 93 mazda mx3 which is in the midst of a full cosmetic and mechanical overhaul (wide body and fully built engine in the works) and a 71 mazda r100 with  an original 10a rotary. ive noticed that there is an auto sub forum so i'll probably go into more detail on those builds there. Last hobby worth mentioning is airsoft, have a decent collection of airsoft guns and gear to match, try and get out when possible tho it has been a while.

 

Pretty active gamer, lots of Overwatch lately, also play WoW (still have my original day 1 release character, shes about to hit 500 days /played) The Division, Seige.. a decently steam library and normally willing to give a new game a decent  try. I also have an xbox one with about 20-30 games, planning on grabbing a ps4 eventually as well, damn exclusives lol...

Legion should be out in about a month or so, im pretty casual these days with wow, my hard core raiding days are long past but i still grabbed the new xpac, the new demon hunter looks like it will be fun to play
