raid terrabyte, hdd 4TB or 8TB (Solved)

Hello ltt Community,

 

Im planning to get a new HDD since Mine died and recuva found a total of 3TB of Data, I tried to rebuild the Boot sector but nothing helped.. can't acess the HDD without formating it,.even if testdisk detects the Partition with all of its Data...

 

TL;DR

So should I get 2 4TB Hdd's in Raid or 8TB or 4TB and a 2TB Backup for Photos and etc..

Not the 8 terra, if you want That storage go for the raid option.

if weelky accessd data is less then 4 terra,go for your last option

The third option because backing up is more important than anything else. 

 

Look at what happens when you don't backup.

That's only for RAID 0, which is technically not RAID anyway.

You could also try JOBBS raid
