I recently got a gtx 960 2 Gb and I'm upgrading everything in my pc and I really don't want to buy a gpu that costs $400 so would it be best if I just got another gtx 960 so I can have 2 of them?

No not yet and the gtx 960 is only 189 dollars and I was watching benchmarks on YouTube for it and at 1080p it was beating a 980

Id personaly say sell your 960 and put it towards somthing better. But if you want to play around with sli then sure go ahead, it can be a headache.

Can I get a gtx 960 4gb and use sli with a 2gb 960? Or do they both have to be 2 gb?

You can use a 4GB one, but both will run at 2GB, so you are kind of wasting there.

2GB is one of the limiting factors on the build, which is why I wouldn't go for SLI (also many games don't fully support it, some not at all). Personally I'd sell that GTX 960 (you can still get some decent money from it) and invest on a GTX 1060 or better.  This way you also spend less power and have less heat.

Pretty sure it only uses the vram from one card so which ever is in first slot. Not sure though sorry.

I think they have to be the same or else it uses the lowest amount of VRAM.

Hey there is an option in my bios setting that says launch EFI shell from filesystem device. Should I click on it?

I'm sure Nvidia locked down their drivers now.

They will have to both me 2GB or SLi won't work. Long ago it would have been fine.

AMD don't mind. Mix any amount of Vram, or same family card together and crossfire will work.

It's not a race to the bottom.
