Posted July 26, 2016 So about a month ago, my MSI Z170 Gaming M5 mobo decided to brick, and because I'm unbelievably impatient and didn't want to wait a month for the RMA to finish, I picked up an Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Mobo. Now that the replacement for the msi should be here in the next few days, I can't decide weather to keep the asus in this build or put the msi back in. The only 2 problems I have with this asus board is that for some reason, my cpu seems to run much hotter (although, I am using a different thermal paste this time), and my voltage sensors don't always show up in HWmonitor. So whats the community's opinion? Go back to the red dragon or stay with the asus?
