I have an issue with my computer, when the taskbar goes down to autohide, it has some flickering/artifacting issue. It only happens for my main HDMI monitor, and is not there when capturing screen using obs.
All drivers are up to date, everything working fine.
here is a youtube link to my problem (sorry for crappy quality, took with my phone.)

Use DDU and reinstall the drivers. It could also be a screw up in Windows' file system so you may want to reinstall if it becomes too much of a problem.

ive tried the ddu method, and i honestly dont think its worth reinstalling windows for. it works fine on the 2nd VGA monitor, just not my 1080p HDMI one.

But you said it does not happen when you use OBS? I thought that it would be the HDMI cable but if it stops when you use OBS then it has to be a software problem.

Oh I thought you said it doesn't happen anymore when you use OBS. In that case the HDMI port on the card, the monitor, etc. could be bad.

I get this effect but I don't use auto hide taskbar... the icons in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen flash occasionally - I've put up with it for now - it doesn't seem to affect anything else so meh...

Mines a 290x on a 4k monitor (DP) it doesn't happen on my other 1080p monitor on DVI-D...

I've now tried some configs. seems to be a HDMI Problem, when using a VGA cable, I got no problems.

huh. i cant use vga as my analogue port is in use for my 2nd monitor. and i only have one port. i  only have DVI-D and 2x HDMIs left. (one running to this main monitor with the issue.) This monitor supports VGA, DP, HDMI, MHL (hdmi)

dont have any dp cables, nor do i have dp on my card. dont have another HDMI cable which is long enough, and i dont have another socket for vga or dvi. so right now the only thing i can do is try switching my ports....

Yes, so it only flops about when using HDMI. That means you must take the HDMI ports into consideration.

switch the monitior connected via VGA and the one causing problems, some monitors can compensate for that Error.

what do you mean by switch? The monitor connected by vga, only has vga, and its going from vga-dvi-i for the gpu. its 1366x768. The hdmi monitor is going to hdmi, and has hdmi, vga, DP. it is 1080p.

GPU only has

1 DVI-D (not used)

1 DVI-I (running to vga monitor with adapter cable.)

Your Mobo should have a VGA (and a HDMI) port.

it does, but doesnt that defeat the point of having a gpu?
