Intel SSD?

Many techies like linus recommended Intel ssds. Since I was looking for a good 500gb ssd for around 150 bucks, I found a Intel 540s 480gb for around the same price as a Samsung 850 Evo 500 gb. Which is better?

The 850 evo is faster and newer technology.
