honestly depends on the game and resolution and monitor hz but the majority of the time would be yes. you can always upgrade it since you are lga 1150

ALSO would like to add that you should look at the RX 480 as well! atm it looks like it performs worse but that's because these reviewers are being dumb asses. most of them don't include the Doom Vulkan API Benchmarks and in that case the RX 480 actually has a decent lead against the 1060! wait for the benchmarks! because vulkan is gonna become WAAAY more common in this next year. so the 480 may just be better but only way to know is by time

I'd go for something like a GTX 750Ti. I wouldn't put anything better than a GTX 760 with a G3258.

The i5 should be good for the 1060. If you are doing gaming and gaming only, don't go for the i7. If you're doing video editing, go with the i7.

allright, thanks for your answers, im going to uprage my cpu as well, do you think that i5-4690K would be enough for gtx 1060? or should i go for core i7?

well. the i5 is good enough but if you are playing 1440p at 100+ hz you will notice bottle-necking not much though so yes it'll be enough!

please wait on deciding on which GPU you are gonna get for the RX480 or 1060 because we as the consumers need a good fight between Nvidia and AMD it'll cause more competitive prices which is good for us and more technology to advance forward every single sale helps. I have a GTX 960 but I really want to believe that AMD this year is gonna be amazing and throw away their bad rep for some stuff like CPU's and stuff.

AMD graphics are great in my opinion, not cpus, but well let see what zen will show to us. RX 480 is not worth for me in Czech because its more expensive than gtx 1060 and from the tests that i saw gtx 1060 performs little bit better so..

If the 1060 is cheaper go for it. but the tests (Benchmarks) show the 1060 performing better in DX11 and DX12 without A-sync or proper API implementation as far as I know. Doom Vulkan API the RX 480 is beating the 1060

"

" great video only time will know but if the 1060 is cheaper go for it. it'll perform better in titles that don't support Vulkan/DX12 so BF4 etc and performance would be better. Im just waiting for about a year so I can see what actually happens :P
