When I first installed my PSU, it was a really tight fit on the side panel due to so many redundant cables I jammed in there. It's pretty ugly.

My question is - can I cut away these unneded cables safely? I'm positive I won't be needing all these extra sata power connectors and what not.

Yes im 99% sure you can, but make sure you cover anything bare with insulation tape and make sure its nice and tidy

Yes you can do that.

But PSU will loose all of it's value, so you won't be even able to sell it as used or anything xD

I know that I would never buy PSU that got cables cut off.

But like Captain Shadow said, you need to cover those cables. Otherwise they might touch your case and kill you. Maybe not realy kill you, but you get the point.

sell your PSU and get a modular PSU instead of cutting cables

so you dont void the warranty of your actual PSU by cutting anything and dont risk the health of you / your PC

Yeah that's true, don't really want to make it unsellable or void warranty. I'll think it out :P

Yeah they wouldn't kill you, but two of the wires could short out (which would kill the PSU, and possibly start a fire).
