Hello guys,

i plan to build a not too expensive computer and actually i try to find a CPU. I am wondering if the price for a x5650 (at least twice as much as for a x5570) is worth it.

Honestly it is unlikely that i find a deal for only the twice ...

What type of work are you doing? if you're doing any type of rendering work (audio, video, photo, 3D modeling, etc) go with the X5650, otherwise go with the X5570

The x5650 has two extra cores, and better IPC which gives it better single threaded performance even with the lower clockspeed.

I not really know what to do with this thing when its finished but it is more likely to be something like a "gaming computer" (It should run something like GTA V even with only 20 an something frames per second, if i had a graphics card in the class like a gtx 650 or gtx 750). If the x5650 would make a way better gaming experience i would buy that.
