Go to solution Solved by Nord,

Try to consult the manual for your new motherboard and see if that helps somewhat, im out of ideas here.

All you could try is to reverse the positions of the two connectors, and try around a bit. Like put the speaker on the orange circled area, top row.

And the other plug on the green circled area. I dont think it will work that way, but then again it should have worked allready... so what do I know apperantly ;D

Hey guys someone pls help me

idk how to attach the front panel on switch to my gigabyte motherboard

the connections are so different someone pls help me

i have attached two pics

1 my motherboard power pins

2 my panel plugs

Do you have your motherboard's manual? If not, google search a PDF of the manual. I had the same problem, that's what I did.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X            | Cooler: Deepcool AK400  | Motherboard: B550 Elite AX V2  | Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB  |

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB   | GPU: MSI RTX 3060 Ti    | Case: NZXT H440 (Red/Black)    | PSU: EVGA 650W G2             |

Coloured cables are +

White cables are -

Then you look for the "diagram" below the pins and place the cables accordingly.

Like this:

rUaS3n5.jpg

Red circled would be where the Power/PW/PWR pin goes.

Green circled would be the Speaker/Sound

Blue circled would be the LED

and as said, make sure the cables match with the +/- marks. For some pins it does not matter if they match, for others it does. So make sure you get it right either way.

@Nord or quote me if you want me to reply back. I don't necessarily check back or subscribe to every topic.

Ok, this clearly is your first time doing this.

That connector you took on the picture belongs somewhere else entirely. Its for the CPU, should be on top / near the CPU socket.

The connectors you showed in your first post, on your second picuture and refeared to as "panel connectors"  are the correct ones. Those PINS are ONLY for those small ones.

Take a look at those videos so you dont accidently kill the entire system:

I've cut directly to the wiring part for you.

Hey Nord sorry for troubling u but

now my cpu case has only two connectors

the ones I showed in the pic

I actually had a dell motherboard which is screwed up now

and den we replaced it with a gigabyte motherboard

it used to work properly.... my comp

but den my smps  bursted due to high voltage

and den got it replaced

but in that process I thought of cleaning my cpu

and I plugged out everything

and cleaned it

now I don't remember where does this go to start my Pc up

I'm such a noob at it

i saw all the three videos I failed to understand the connection according to my case !

Im so sorry to trouble u

Green circled pins is where you put the connector that says "speaker" on it, make sure that the writing with "speaker" on the connector itself faces upwards.

Orange circled one is for the other connector, take care here as the connector itself has a "closed pinhole" so you dont put it in incorrectly. If you were to force it, it would bend the pins, so if it does not go in easily, the connector with the closed hole is placed wrong -> try again.

They appear to be connected correctly, so what exactly does happen do when you try to start it?

Nothing?

Do fans spin up?

Does anything light up?

Does it give any beeping noice from it?

You could unplug the two plugs again and use a screwdriver to start the PC.

Make sure it has a rubber grip, like anything that insulates elecricity, then you put the screwdriver between the two pins, where the diagram says +PWR-,

Which would be: Orange cicled area, top row, the last 2 pins before there are 2 pins are missing - put the screwdriver in-between those and only those two pins.

Pretty sure there are how-to guides on google explaining it better than I did here btw.

Also are you sure that you connected everything else that isnt to see on the picture?

CPU-Power top left? 6Pin, rather big?

HDD power?

GPU 1x or 2x 6-Pin PCI-E ?

At the back of your powersupply, there is an on/off switch, check if its actually turned on.

and are you sure those are all the front-panel connectors your case has?

The plug should say power on it... but then again its odd that it fits exactly. Check again if you did not miss a frontpanel connector or so, somtimes they are as tiny as a single pin.

I just snapped out the front panel and checked the power on switch

but itseems to me that the power button is connected to speaker plug

and the two led bulbs to the other plug

and yes everything is connected perfectly

(the background pic is my old motherboard not the one connected )
