I want to get into vinyl and i need a setup. I would need everything, excluding records, turntable, amp, blah blah blah. i have headphones i would use for the first couple of months, till i have money for speakers, so keep that in mind. What would be the best setup for about $200 USD?

Thanks!

*Edit*

i need everything, but records and headphones, sorry, my grammar is unacceptable.

So, you want a setup that doesn't include a turntable, an amp and speakers in the budget? Doesn't that only leave us with headphones and potentially a phono amp to recommend?

For $200 my headphone recommendation would be the Beyerdynamic DT880s or DT990s.

Hmm, at that budget I would say it's a Craigslist job.

You're not going to get anything new and worthwhile for $200.

I can recommend looking into Marantz turntables, since most of those were direct-drive and therefor probably still functional.

And when you're looking for an amp make sure it has a phono-preamp. Else you're not going to get much volume out of your setup.

Although, external preamps can also be bought.
