so i got a new r9 390x and i can stream my games fine without hardware encoding and with it on. but when i turn amd encoding on the screen starts flashing and the game has issues. i think it was image loss was around 40 to 50 maybe higher. did anyone have this issue? i have the latest driver installed and turned off amd gpu encoding for now. oh also sorry if i posted this in the wrong area i seen a topic or two about streaming in gaming already.

to be honest with you i'm not all too hype about gpu encoding in general...

i did some testing in OBS, and between x264 on the cpu, nvenc, and intel quicksync...

with a preset that barely put any load on my i7 4790k x264 outpaced both other options by a landslide.

i'd try AMD's encoding thing, but i think we can all agree that'll be a nightmare on a HD5770 thats about as reliable as a knockoff power supply.

ON TOPIC:

you could try DDU and reinstalling your GPU drivers, to eliminate any issues on that part.
