AMD Polaris Giveaway

On 7/18/2016 at 1:59 AM, nicklmg said:

So AMD's new graphics cards are here, and they are pretty sick... But what's even more sick than hearing about a new graphics card? Owning one for yourself!

Aw yeah man, we are giving away one Polaris 10 video card and one Polaris 11 video card thanks to our good friends over at AMD.

So, how do you enter to win one of these fine graphics cards?

1. Post a comment below telling us what graphics card you're using in your rig and why you want an upgrade to AMD's Polaris lineup. The two winners will be selected at random, so no, the content of your comment doesn't REALLY matter, but this is more fun than seeing 800 posts of "I want it" or "gibe nao pls."

2. Check back here in about a week when the names of our two winners will be added to the OP (giveaway execution is an art not a science people, so I apologize in advance if winners aren't announced in exactly one week).

3. Check your inbox here on the forum to make sure you didn't miss it. Our winners' usernames will be added to the OP here, so if you have any question about the legitimacy of a congratulatory message regarding this giveaway, please be sure to check back here and see if your name has been added.

And, while this isn't a requirement, feel free to give our friends over at @AMDRadeon on Twitter a follow.

Winners will be PMed from this account on the forum. Please do not consider winner messages from any other user in regards to this giveaway.

This giveaway is worldwide with no age restriction.

Best of luck to all!!

I have one rig with an R9 380X and my main gaming rig with a GTX 1080. I plan to upgrade the 380X to either a 480 or a 1060 (I haven't decided which yet) but winning this would make that decision really simple!

And if it is filtered so that it only counts as 1 entry it's still suspicious that he won!

I have a great R9 270 and it serve me well for years. I am playing Star Wars Battlefront in great quality, even it's being two generation older than the new Polaris. But is still an excelent graphic card. I really love AMD (my processor is in FX-8350) because the company has a different culture when compared with the competition. Of course they would love to have the best processor and best graphics card but even when it's not the case they always show more respect with their customers. They embrace open technologies much before than competition and more widely too. I admire it. I always prefer AMD since my old Athlon K7. I really hope they regain the space they deserve in market.

I wuold love to have this Polaris graphic card. Several reviews showed me that it's an excelent product. Incredible performance and low power consumption. It's amazing! And i'm really excited about the new Zen processors! Go, AMD! :D

Hi, I currently have a gtx 750 ti.. I work 50+ hours a week and I can't afford an upgrade. It's sad. All I do is game on my PC and I have to run games at low or medium graphics. :( I always enter these competitions but I never win. This would literally  make my life right now. I drool over new graphics cards that are out of my reach on new egg. Only in my dreams. :\

I would be happy with any graphics card that you would give me! Surprise me! -crosses fingers-

Spoiler to my life.

Is Linus busy enough to read?

I have nothing, but I'm planning to do a budget build this vacation. So a free video card that's pretty strong would help out big time.

Currently running a evga 750ti ftw, a card i see as slightly outdated, like seriously, my dads new imac has a better gpu than mine. I would recommend this card for scrapyard wars because i have found it is cheap and ok, but it is not doing well with newer games. I am a beginner game developer that enjoys using C++ OpenGL to create games, so i will definitely be using the Vulkan API when drivers are released for more cards. A newer gpu supporting more Vulkan features would be great.

I'm upgrading my CPU soon so having a better graphics card would help quite a bit.

Currently running an R9 280X, and man does it produce a ton of heat and suck a ton of power...

The RX 480 would be an excellent upgrade with a boost in performance, and especially a boost in efficiency and heat output.

This is what I've wanted from AMD for a long time, and I almost switched teams because of it!

Best of luck to all.

Intel Core i7-6700K @4.6GHz • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 FE @ 1683MHz •  16GB DDR4 @3200MHz
