A few weeks ago the audio on my desktop stopped working. No sound came out but windows could tell there was something plugged in. I did lots of research and eventually I found the solution. So I am making this thread so people won't have to spend 10 hours like I did looking for the solution. The solution is pretty simple. Run command prompt as administrator and type:

net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice
press enter then type:
net localgroup Administrators /add localservice
press enter then type:
exit
press enter and restart your computer

I also had a problem where I couldn't run anything as Administrator although I was on an admin account (Aren't I lucky?). Here's what you do:

Open Windows Explorer, click on "Computer" and "Local Disk (C:)"
Next, click on "Windows"
Then click on "System32"
Scroll down and find "cmd" (It should be an application)
Select it then right click on it and click on "Copy"
Go to your desktop and right click on an empty space and click "Paste Shortcut"
Right click on it and click "Run as Administrator". (If it doesn't give you an error, go ahead and type the lines of code above "net..." and you are done. Continue If you get an error)

Restart your computer and as soon as your desktop appears. right click on Command prompt and select "Run as administrator". If it still gives you an error keep restarting your computer until it no longer gives you an error. (Note, you should have about a 20 second time frame after the desktop loads to run command prompt as administrator).

If you have any questions feel free to message me.

Good luck!

Space is pretty awesome.

I really doubt everyone's problems are the same, so I don't think this will be universal fix to everything. It should help for some though.

It worked for about 5 people on the one place I could find this information.
