its a 4790k with no cooler and its currently at 90c

still thats too hot for your computer, i saw a pic of your PC and id say yea just replace the liquid cooler with a normal air one. somthing small and simple will do the job if you dont overclock.

Ok  i will then  and theres some leftover grey shit on the cpu, whatever thats called.. i forgot  whats goes under the cooler. its maybe all hard and causing heat.. i should probably clean it off then

yea its called thermal paste, use alcohool  with paper towel or napkin to do that, hell you can even get by with leftover booze at a party

Did you mean thermal Paste, and yeah get a new thermal paste scrape off the old one and apply new one

What is OCing a 4790k 4.4ghz gonna do. Raise temps by 10-15degrees for .3ghz more of power? What like 5more fps? Is it worth it?
