And one USB related BSOD!

So, let me be short and to the point. I have a Snowball Mic with a flakey connection that often brings up USB malfunction pop ups when it's moved around at times. I've also noticed after moving it one time, a sudden Windows Explorer error happened soon after. Earlier, I got a random BSOD and it was referencing USB.

I had a recent one a few minutes ago after grabbing some coke and may have bumped something to move the mic since I noticed a sudden Windows Explorer needs to be restarted error..which was more or less 'frozen' since it was (Not Responding) when I hit restart. I actually had to log off and relog to get my Windows Explorer to stop being dumb.

TL;DR Can a faulty USB device cause Windows Explorer to keep breaking/cause a BSOD?

I'm really suspect this mic is the cause of these issues.

WINDOWS Explorer, you derp. :P

That's the file system for Windows, I wasn't talking about the crappy browser known as Internet Explorer. The two are completely different things. ;)

I use Firefox with the best plugins.

I don't exactly have that sort of stuff laying around currently. Regardless, I was planning to get a modmic anyway to convert these headphones into a headset for convenience. Was double checking to see if this dying mic was indeed the cause of Windows acting up.

That's weird, though I remember I have a usb stick also plugged in that isn't exactly reliable. I should unplug this to see if it also was contributing to any problems. Thanks for reminding me!
