Possible CPU Upgrade?

First a bit of background.  I'm currently using a FX-8320. It's served me well for several years now and I'm looking to upgrade soon. I managed to salvage an i7-4765t from a machine at work that we are recycling. I'd just like the community's thoughts on using it as base for an upgrade. All I'd need to get would be a motherboard. I mostly game and office work with occasional streaming and encoding.

thats a good idea, but why exactly was the computer being recycled? you dont want a damaged cpu! Trust me, playing with a damaged core is annoying as hell (it has happened to me)

It was a Lenovo All in One with a damaged display, I was able to power it on and work on it using remote desktop software.

Unfortunately, while that is very tempting, our company policy forbids me from reselling items I claim.

Actually a trade would probably be OK. I just can't profit from it. I'd really prefer an i7 though. I can have tons of different things going at once when I'm working.

well that CPU has only a baseclock of 2.0ghz and a boost to 3.0ghz on a single-core...it's very likely to be as weak as the FX-8320 that you have...maybe even slower in fact.
