Motherboard sizes and differences?

Hi guys i'm trying to find out the difference between mini itx and mini atx motherboards, whats better to buy and what cases I can use them in? Any with sli or crossfire ready? if not thats fine and thanks

The question you need to be asking is, which one do you need for your system. The case you plan on buying will say what sizes of motherboards it can support.

It all depends on what rig you are building. As there are different case sizes, there are motherboard sizes corresponding to them.

Now as for ITX vs mATX, ITX motherboards can have just about the same features as mATX one but due to its smaller size it will have less slots for some stuff such as RAM and PCIE. As far as I know, ITX motherboards don't have more than one PCI-E x16 slot so SLI/CF would be a nono. mATX can however.
