It's new so people post news about it in there

Tech News is for industry news. If it's something additional about VR, fine. But if you're asking what VR device to purchase, or you're having issues with one, then Tech News is a terrible place.

This is something you could bring up with whoever, but adding a specific AR/VR section is probably a really good idea for the long run (either under computer hardware or consumer electronics.)

people asked/suggested that and they said there is not enough posting about VR to make a section for it

To find them?  Basically just search.  We don't have a dedicated subform for posting them in because A there wouldn't be enough content (At least no yet) and B it can fall under Displays or maybe Peripherals for now.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I think part of the reason there isn't much posting about it is BECAUSE there isn't a dedicated section... But either way I did say long term.

We also move them. The post is far too generic as there are different aspects to VR. It would be similar to asking "what would be the best place to find CPUs?" It depends on what you're looking for. Issues? Probably troubleshooting. New information? Probably Tech News. Although with this post, it's more difficult because VR has no dedicated place, but we are moving topics to Peripherals, Displays(probably), and General Discussion.

He didn't say "interesting info." He just asked about the best place to find VR posts. Nowhere did he mention anything about it being "interesting."

That implies we have a place for interesting topics and a place for boring crap xD

I recently purchased the Vive. And I was wondering because of technical issues that crop up with the system, compatibility with "X" game or "Y" game. Firmware news, expanding peripherals, solutions, workarounds, etc...

I know there is not a high volume of users out there to generate enough posts, but i agree with

Curufinwe_wins

Eventually, maybe, a VR section may be justified.

But  I merely wanted to know what subfolder i should post in and where to look. yes, i did not try the search, but usually that returns extremely vague posts

Eventually, yes.  I think it would make sense.  But it's going to need more games, and more users before that happens.
