Fast answer: Stop using wireless and do wired instead.

Longer answer:

Ping reflects packets being transferred over you network and to servers. More packets, higher ping (ofc distance to server matters too but that remains constant and rarely reason for spiking ). So any other traffic on you home network would cause spikes. Anything downloading on you machine or anyother machine on network? Other things I would check are drivers for wireless adapter and booting router.

If you're using a public router, good luck you can't help it.

If you're on your own private network, usually distance can cause random spikes of lag, so try getting closer.

Wired would be your best savior here honestly though.
