So, I'm planning on building a gaming rig that's powerful enough to new game titles (Like No Man's Sky, Battlefield 1, etc) on high (if not max) settings... I want things to look great and run smoothly. It'll also be used to do some coding but nothing to the point I should tailor my rig for (got one set up for all that stuff already) My issue is I'm more of a software geek so when it comes to hardware I'm a bit unsure. So I was wondering, what could you recommend for me to get. I'll post the parts I've been looking at buying, but if you think something else would be better, that's either cheaper but just as good, or better and not too much more expensive, more reliable or compatible (you get the idea) then please, let me know. Price isn't too much of an issue since I'm okay getting parts as I can, I don't really have a need to have it built ASAP. I'm really kinda unsure about where to start with this since I've not built a rig like this before and it feels a just little overwhelming so any help would absolutely amazing! :)

Parts I've been thinking about:

So for the GPU I've been thinking about getting a Nvidia GTX 1080, bit expensive but it seems like a damn good card.

CPU: AMD FX8350 8 core Black Edition

Not too sure yet, but probably 16gb of RAM

Motherboard... Well I don't really know what I should be looking for when it comes to a good board, other than something with a socket to match the CPU, and enough SATA ports... Other than that I'm really not too sure, so if you have any ideas/suggestion please, please let me know. I also can't really have a wired internet connectiong *Insert cry face* so I'll have to use WiFi, I've not had much luck when it comes to the USB adapters, so if you know of a WiFi card or something that goes on the mobo that'll be awesome.
I want at least 2 harddrives, I've been looking at a 1tb SSD, and the HDD I've currently got, which is small but it'll do for backing up data.

Case: I'm not set on getting a certain case, if you guys suggest a better one for any valid reason then I can change my mind, but for now I've been thinking of getting the Cooler Master MasterCase 5.

Powersupply. Now, where the PSU is concerned I'm really not too sure. I would like LED's lighting up my rig because if it's going to run beautifully then it might as well look the part too. LED lit fans too would be awesome (preferably purple)
Fans:... Well as I mentioned above, I'd love some fans lit up with LEDs, but I also want to make sure my rig has sufficient cooling because it would suck for it to overheat. I'm not really sure if there's better fans for what I'm going for over others, but I was just going to go for what ever fans I like the look of and would fit in my case (like I stated I'm more of a software person, not hardware)

I guess some additional stuff that could be useful to know is that I'm in England, so I would need parts that I can either get shipped here, or bought in store over here. Other than that, I hope I can get some help with this, and thank you in advance for any help :)

Get a Intel CPU, the fx 8350 is very old now and due for an update. Also use pcpartpicker, it's very time consuming and confusing to go over your long post.

the 1080 is just for consuption measurement you can chose another one

The only thing I would change there would be the motherboard to OC-Formula and done! ready to go.

Really fun board if you have that kind of cooling and CPU. ;)

The AMD FX 8350 is very old compared to what? What's due for an update? Your comments are not clear.

Here's my recommended computer build.

It's powered by an excellent AMD processor, which is very energy efficient and due to its low power draw, there is less heat generated.

I still added on a very nice CPU cooler.

A nice powerful 8 GB graphics card that can handle almost any game you throw at it plus it does virtual reality (VR) very well.

Basically everything intel, we had ivy bridge, haswell, broadwell, skylake.... AMD still is in the 32nm process with the same piledriver architecture for their FX series since 4 years now.

What's due for an update?

Vishera as a whole including the 8350 he is considering, Zen is coming late this year.

While it's comparatively more efficient, it still has a higher TDP than a i5 6500/6400 and is in an older platform that doesn't offer many upgrade options (your best bet is a 8350, which isn't much faster and still slower than the i5:

https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/401217-amd-fx-vs-intel-for-gaming-2015-edition/).

Would rather get a i5 6400/6500 with the stock cooler. You can later upgrade to kaby lake, is more powerful (even with overclocked benchmarks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CssrJh315DQ ) and is more efficient at 65 TDP.
