So my questions are i heard someone tell me that companies who fabricate there own flash memory keep the best for themselves if this is true would it not be smarter to buy there products for reliability and if true who does fab there own as i need a really reliable USB Flash drive for work not a 10 dollar 30 day refurb that will probably die in 30 days.

There are only a few companies that actually make their own NAND, a few of them include Kingston, SanDisk and Samsung.

Now, when companies make their NAND, they save the best for themselves (which is done through binning). The difference between the high quality stuff and the rest probably isn't much - a manufacturer wouldn't risk giving subpar NAND that wouldn't last.
