you could try dropping it to 4.0ghz to see if that helps at all

I left it at 3.2 until the first stable 4.9 run, then bumped it up for those few extra points. Thing is still stupid cool on the H105 and it's being thoroughly abused.

Build for family member, Im not replacing the beast until Zen or maybe a 5960X after DDR4 comes down in price some.

Makes the most sense honestly my upgrade was really not that worth it at all but it only cost me 200bucks after selling my motherboards and CPU

It was a last minute "AH HAH!" moment when I started getting 09C's thrown at me with a 49 multiplier and a 101 Bclk. The RAM couldn't take it, and rather than go to JDEC I knew my other G.Skill kits had underclocked around Bclk very nicely. Still not very stable, but I'll try to improve on it later today.

I bought it the day devils canyon launched and was available on Amazon. I knew I would get around to using one at some point, and it's well worth $75 of entertainment.

i swear the launch day cpu's were best, because i bought mine on launch day and that is a good batch. after that they just seem to have gone downhill

well I'm glad I got mine when I did, although now that it refuses to play FC4 and dragon age, even with the .dll injection fix, idk what to do. Got it all hooked up on my TV tonight and just wouldn't play a damn thing :blink:

unfortunately some bad shit happened last night. when i was done clocking the pentium i put in the i7 to try and hit 1k r15. got a couple runs ( no more than 1.6V). everything seemed fine and dandy. then the z87 ud5h shut down and refused to post. i popped the pentium back in and still nothing. then i tried the mpower ...still nothing. picked up a cheap h81 board today and still both chips wont post.... fml.... so it looks like the ud5h died and took both chips with it. may have also been psu related  thank god for rma and ipr.

What if the H81 doesn't have a supported UEFI for it? Is is this a 4770K?

just updated the scores at last. i'm going to have to wait for a very cold night to even tried to get close the some of them scores. this is going to take some serious beating with my chip i have to say!

My living room is a toasty 18C ATM, might be able to crack a few windows to get into the single digits :lol:  although temps on the Pentium are already sub 75C

you are very lucky! its disappointingly warm over here in the uk. i think its only dropped down to 2-3c a couple of times so far and the lowest i can get my room at those temps is 10-11c. i think last winter i was able to get down to 7-8c when it was below freezing.
