Hello everyone,

I built my first computer back in August of 2012. At the time an SSD was out of my budget so i didn't purchase one. However now i have enough money to purchase one. But since the OS is already installed on my hard drive, how would i move it from my HD to an SSD?

Thank you so much

You may think it would be nice to transfer the OS, but it's not really possible if you have to ask here. Just transfer your data to a backup drive, clear the old HDD, and install on the SSD. It won't take long to transfer the data back. You'll be done in 1 hour if you do it right. Just do some research before hand (plenty of youtube videos on re-installing your OS). And please do upgrade to an SSD they kick ass.

You can get transfer kits, but just reinstall the OS and the new drive and then copy over anything you want from the old try to the SSD.
