Ram usage issue

When i play games like gta v or Arma 3 that use lots of ram, and my ram goes over 7.5gb of usage, i get this error message from windows saying my computer needs to close the game becuase my computer doesnt have enough memory..... However i have 12gb and when this message pops up an extra 5gb isnt even being used. So how do i stop this, because it crashes my gmae when it pops up with the message and it gets really annoying.

Arma 3 and GTA V are both extremely CPU intensive games, so that might have a play in it.

What are your full specs?

I wouldn't think so, it has only been doing this recently.

Well, according to Nvidia, you meet the minimum system requirements for both. Are you doing anything else while you are gaming? Like recording or anything?

yes, i have skype open, but other than that no

Try closing Skype while you game and see if that helps.

okay, and if it doesnt? what would i try after that?

you are using 3 ram sticks? try take out the one that is in its own channel.(the one in the different colored slot to the other 2) if that works then put the same ram stick back in but in the other slot
