So i was charging my laptop(Sony vaio pro 13)  and it was at 72% so i thought i would charge it latter and i pull the power cord out and the laptop turns off. I press the power bottom a couple times but it would not start. I plug the power cord back in and then it started. It shows that it is charging but it stays at 72% and i have to plug the power chord in every time i want to use my laptop otherwise it would not start. It has an internal battery and its quite tricky to open it up.

Any ideas how i can solve this without opening up my laptop?

Thanks for reading and helping.

Try pullin the battery out of the labtop then push and hold down the power button and hold it for a minute to drain the power from the labtop then  reseat the battet back in it without hitting the power button. Then try it...if that doesnt work u might need a new battery.

If you don't want to open it you will have to take it to a repair shop.

Haha... the battery went down by 1% after about 2 days. I think that i might try reinstating windows because i was installing some software and stuff when this happen i uninstalled them but still dint work.If that doesn't work i will contact sony because this is a new laptop and there aren't many guides online for how to disassemble it.

I did it.  :D  The reason why i didn't wanted to open it was because it was a bit tricky to get the cover off of the headphone jack and i didn't wanted to break anything but i stayed calm and carefully took the cover off. I power cycled it but it still didn't work so i plug the power cord in started my laptop and then pulled the power chord out and it still worked. I pat myself on the back took some pictures and also found out that the cpu fan doesn't turn on when its not needed so that is awesome.

Thanks for helping guys.
