doing some digging you may find its summit to do with Legacy/UEFI mode support, check and see if the card has a switch on it or for an updated bios for your mobo on dells site.

if you really want to keep the card and it has no switch you may find a legacy bios you can flash to it on evgas site.

 

usually you would be right and its just a matter of having a cpu+psu that can handle the gfx card upgrade but if the pre built manufacturer was to much of an asshole to update there motherboard bios for the uefi changes and the card manufacturer is too much of an asshole to provide legacy roms you need to choose what card you get wisely.

 

my msi 290 has a legacy switch and tbh until now I didn't even know why lol ;)
