Hello, I just built my first pc and I have run into some problems

my chassis fans are running extremely slow, need a push to sometimes work, and is being displayed as over 30,000 RPM when I try to monitor them through third-party software such as SpeedFan, and when I monitor it through my MOBO it gives me the same insane results

case: Corsair 230T

mobo: asus m5a97 r2.0

Welcome to the Forums!

Think it's trying to be a drone and lifting off at those speed:D. As for trying to fix it what fans are you using, if they aren't displaying correctly in the BIOS it might be a problem with the RPM line on the fan or how the BIOS is reading it.

really slow fans that need a push to make them work sounds like a lack of power. Your motherboard reading them as 30k RPM when theres no chance in hell sounds like a bad fan port (combined with the fact that they're operating improperly). Try switching fan connectors.

Also, don't connect too many fans to one fan header as sometimes you won't be able to produce enough electricity to operate them properly.

As for your fans displaying at 30k, it could also just be a sensor detection glitch. its not going to be perfect for everyone.
