Hi,

My friend wants to give her Nexus 4 a second life, so she needs to replace her broken screen. The phone works fine, but there are cracks all over the screen and it remains dark. The phone still rings when she receives a call so it seems like everything else is functional. I've been looking for spare parts on eBay but I really don't know which one to take because the place vary from $7 to $150 and I'm not sure what I need. Of course, I won't replace the screen myself, we will find someone to get the job done for us. Please explain me the differences between the following items, and let me know which one I should buy:

Its the glass so you would have to get the glass replaced which is hard to do and the actual screen could get damaged

I have done a Nexus 4 for a friend and the Glue Google use is STRONG.

I'm confused. I don't get the difference between the"screen" and the "glass".

Thanks. Then when does the digitizer go? Is the glass here just to protect the screen?

The glass sometimes is just there to protect the screen but some manufactures like Sony like to sometimes integrate the digitizer into the glass but others have it part of the LCD
