hey

I recently got a 2600k for free from a friend he upgraded to a 6700k

the motherboard was a p67 but i cant get it to work the ram slots seem to be broken only slot 3 will work

i ordered a new motherboard ASrock H61M-DGS R2.0 ( http://www.asrock.nl/mb/Intel/H61M-DGS R2.0/ )

only problem that i have with the motherboard is that it doesnt have sata 3 (for my samsung 850)and doesnt support any overclocking but this is the only 1155 that is still available

on the Intel site the 2600k only supports 16 lanes of pci if im right.

i was wondering can i use my r9 290 and maybe add one of these Delock PCI Express Card > 2 x internal SATA 6 Gb/s ( http://www.delock.com/produkte/F_322_SATA---eSATA_89270/merkmale.html )

i know pci 2.0 1x only supports 5GT/s but its still better then sata 2 can i add this or will it impact my gpu, or is sata 2 good enough for gaming

this is my cpu and mobo ATM ( https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/CROSSHAIR_IV_FORMULA/ ) with a AMD 1090t clocked to 4.2GHz

Thanks!!

1x slots never/rarely come from the cpu directly.

Agreed. But I didn't bother to check for sure.

great thats what im gonna do then. or i could buy a 3/4 year old secondhand mobo with a better chipset for around 75 euro

I think im better off just getting this new asrock,  I saw this post http://ocaholic.ch/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=1123&page=4

and I see that the difference between stock and 4.5GHz isn't that big in gaming at least
