PCIe question!

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

Yah, they will both need to be on the same speed to be in SLI/Crossfire. Additionally speeds only go in 1,2,4,8, or 16. There is no x12 :)

So let's say that my CPU has 28 lanes of PCIe and I put two GPU in my PCIe 3.0 slots, each being x16. There isn't anything else using the PCIe slots too. Does this mean that one of my GPU gets the full x16 and the other one gets x12 in persormance? Thanks in advanced
