How to disable hibernation in Windows 10 ?

⚡ Mithrandir ⚡

I left my PC to download something over night, and when I woke up it was in hibernation. When I tried to wake It up It displayed a blue screen. After that it booted up like nothing happened thankfully my download finished before it went into hibernation. Anyone know how to disable it?

Start > type: Power Options > select: Power Options > Change Plan Settings (on the selected plan, which should be Balance) > Change advanced Power Settings.

A panel will show, on it go to: Sleep > Hybrid Sleep, and turn it off, and set "Hibernate after" to 0.

At the same location, set the Sleep time to what you want. Use 0 to disable it.

To really disable hibernation as you think you'll never ever use it on your system:

 - Open command prompt as admin (Win+X > Command Prompt (Admin))

 - type: powercfg -h off

 - hit Enter, restart your system.
