If you are not in a complete hurry, wait for the RX 480 / GTX 1060. And if you dont plan on getting another GPU then you dont need a 850w PSU.

Winning an argument with a woman step by step

step one - talk to her

step two - fight with her for 2 hours even if you are really right

step three - admit that she is right for the sake of your safety

step four - realize that you have accomplished nothing and she still thinks you were wrong and now she thinks you are even more stupid

You don't need an 850w psu, even for SLI/CFX. If you're not going dual GPU, get a 500-650w psu. If you are, a 750w psu will suffice. Also, don't get the gtx 970 unless you absolutely need the cuda cores or if its much cheaper than the rx 480/r9 390.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
