So im in the middle of putting together two seperate builds. I went to install the Ram and something seems off. Im putting a good bit of pressure down, and dont want to harm any parts pushing too hard. I have the feet out to their proper position and have the ram's slot lined up properly. Its DDR3 on a compatible motherboard.

Check the slots to see if nothing is stuck in it and the ram sticks to see if they look okay.

You have to put some pressure on it, but if you say what you are doing now is too much, don't force it. Take a look at this video (at timestamp 4:41) to get a rough idea of how hard you have to press:

Sometimes you have to apply a fair bit of pressure to get the tabs to snap into place.

Check that there's nothing in the slot and that the tabs are open. Put your thumbs on each end of the DIMM and gradually apply pressure. It can actually take a fair bit of body weight to get them to snap in, depending on the board.

You dont need to apply any kind of pressure to open thr feet passed thr initial open right? Like just push until it naturally stops?

Not really. They should just be open, they don't need to be forced or anything.
