Cpu And Ram MHz

my friend has already a i5 6600k and kingston hyperx fury 2x8GB ddr4-2400 will be put on a MSI Z170A PRO that supports up to 2400MHz without overclock needed but the cpu specs says that it supports up to 2133MHz.

Will be there any changes when it will be the whole system ready and to boot? like the ram will go down to 2133MHz?? or something else?

I believe the ram will clock down to 2133 Mhz

The RAM will just downclock to 2133MHz until he goes into BIOS and overclocks it back up to the 2400MHz
