No display on HDMI cable

Hello guys, I have brought Benq 2240HE monitor just today. I have gtx 650 ti. When I plug the hdmi cable, I don't get any display. I tried to switch the display modes by the buttons provided on the monitor, but no luck. It's working fine with DVI. What's the problem?

NO, Totally new one. Even this problem persists in my friends pc.

with the same cable or with a different one?

 

i've had plenty of cables come out the box broken before

with different cables. But when I connect to my friends HD TV, it works.

then it's probably a flaw in the monitor.

 

if you didnt buy it from a sketchy as hell retailer you can bring it straight back to the store, and if they confirm your findings you'll get a new one.

Well. Then why it happens to my friends monitor also? I guess I have to do more research.

My problem fixed. Actually The hdmi cable was not plugged in properly to the monitor. LOL
