Hello LTT forum, I have a question about an audio mixer.

So, I am planning on getting an audio mixer. This one to be exact. So I want to use it with an Audio Techinica AT-2020 XLR Microphone. I know that it will work when I record to something like audacity, etc. But, for some reason I just don't know if it won't work while playing games. I just want to get a second opinion before I buy it and my 2020, as I would hate for it not to be able to work in-game while playing.

Thanks! (And I know, this may be a silly question but I just need more info before I buy)

If the bringer doesn't work that well maybe spring some extra coin and get this:

http://www.amazon.ca/Yamaha-Audiogram-USB-Recording-Interface/dp/B001F21RJ0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1380872959&sr=1-1&keywords=yamaha+recording+interface

I heard they sound very good and have a very low latency. It should by all measures sound better with your mic than the bringer.

Or even some of the Presonus stuff...

Anyway @Holopoint - I had a play around with a Behringer mixer I've got lying around, I think it's a X1622 USB and I wasn't entire impressed. I don't know if it was the onboard sound on the Dell Inspiron laptop I was using it with or just the actual interface but the audio was flat and lifeless. I guess it would be okay for vocal use for Skype etc however based purely on what I heard then I wasn't happy. XLR to 1/8" balanced cables are still my preference with it.

Just a note to anyone else who comes across this thread and is wondering about Behringers USB solution, by default it really really sucks. You have no real option on routing - you get a master mix in and a send back to the master mix - no individual channels or routing capabilities for anything. Though then again, I don't have it for that.

Thanks for the help Windspeed36 Also thanks for the other option, Mr moose. I might just go for that, it seems like a great option, and the quality to me is important.

don't forget to come back and let us know how it all sounds, works etc. The more reviews/opinions we have the better our advice to others is.
