Monitor upgrade

So my friends has been sayng that i should upgrade from a 720p monitor to a 1080p, most of their points is that i would get a better picture, the games would look beatiful and my gpu would use every potential (99%), in games. Therefore i came here to ask you guys, are they right? If so i've been searching for some monitors and would like yours opinion.

AOC 22' G2260VWQ6,

Asus 24' VX248H

Asus 21.5' VX229H

LG 22' 22MP58VQ-P

BenQ 22' GW2270H

BenQ 24' GL2460

So i narrow it down to 3 monitors.
