and is it enough in case I want to upgrade my PC in the future? say if I change the graphics card or the processor in the future 600w would be still enough?

If you think about it, as technology advances it will get more efficient, less power consumption.

I say 600W should be plenty, as long as you aren't planning on doing anything too crazy with it.

I'm building a PC and I'm a little confused with the wattage. I used 3 different calculators (cooler master's, extreme outer vision's, and Newegg's) in the first two I got a recommended 449 and 448 respectively but in Newegg I got 627. so wich power supply I need? 500w? 600w? 700w?

don't know if relevant but I'm planning on buying a Seasonic power supply once I figure the wattage, also here's my specs in case needed:

AMD a10 7700k

sapphire r9 380 (just one no OC)

8 GB DDR3

thanks in advance!!

You would probably only "need" 500W but it can never hurt to get a little more.

yeah from what I've read and all the videos I've seen apparently 500w should be enough but with the recommended wattage from Newegg i started to doubt.

would 700w be to much?

There is really no such thing as too much in a PSU, you could put a 1500W PSU in it and it would run normally, overkill but it would run normally.

The hardware only draws what it truly needs.

That system will use less than 300W with overclocks on its own. Have no worries about wattage.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

You don't need anywhere close to 600w.  Maybe half that.
