My rx 480 is scoring incredibly low on my bemchmarls.

Hitman benchmark 20fps

Steamvr 2.3

My system

Fx8350

Msi 990fxa gaming

Saphire rx480

750w psu

16g ram

All drivers are up to date. Does anyone have a clue as to what the issue might be? What can I do to resolve this?

New driver is dropping tomorrow so wait and test it with that before anything else.

At what resolution are you playing/benchmarking?

This is pretty odd. Grab the new driver when it comes out, maybe try a complete uninstall with ddu, and then install the new driver. If that doesn't work, go back through and make sure everything is hooked up correctly. Otherwise RMA it.

Do you have your 8350 over clocked at all? If so what frequency do you have it at? The SteamVR test is kinda slanted towards Intel if I remember correctly.

I tried it at stock and with a minor over clock at 4.2 both times it said my cpu was good

I have already done a complete uninstall with ddu and reinstalled however like you said the bew drivers arent out yet. I will try again when it comes out tomorrow.

That is odd. I wonder if it is the power draw through the pci-e slot, because the AM3+ only supports PCI-E 2.0 and not 3.0

I don't really know enough about it to say one way or another.

is it a clean Windows installation?

What GPU did you have before?

Have you tried cleaning the drivers with DDU and trying to install latest again?

Can you run Unigine Valley in window mode while monitoring the CPU and GPU clock speed with HWiNFO in the background.
