Now I know what a lot of you are thinking, and you're probably right. But humor me. For $40, not new of course, what could you expect to get, best(and reasonable) case scenario, and is it worth it. Shoot

best bet would be an Raspberry Pi.. I doubt you can find any type of laptop other than maybe a kindle fire tablet on black friday at 39ish dollars.

I got (for a little under twice as much) a lenovo i3 laptop, just missing a HDD and charger, both of which I already own

Most of that was likely shipping.

Specs? for all i know if could be a Powerbook

I've been looking at a lot of those 2009-11 netbook/notebooks that peaked up for a bit. I'm not by any means looking for a work horse, just something I was considering was grabbing one for 30-50(the prices range i noticed) loading something light onto them, xubuntu or lubuntu or whatever looked nice. And just having something I can use to web browse while lying in bed or going to a coffee shop, or a quick writing session at school. Ive been drained using my phone for these things (it gets hot when used for long periods) but not being in college yet, and my income currently being consistent but not heavy I thought a quick grab at one of those might hold me over if they fit right. I'm aware of their limitations like, less tabs and *no* games.
