More money on the gpu, it's what renders the game

unless you're going to do video production, spend more on a 6 core i7 or even 8 (but the gpu still matters because of gpu acceleration)

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

firstly you need to decide what gpu youre wanting to get, if you get a high end gpu, you need an i5 or an i7 to run it to its potential, cpu is the key part of any pc you must always remember that, do you have a budget?

my budget is around 800 - 900 dollars on the computer as a whole. I'm planning to spend At least half on the gpu and cpu

How is this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/b8YvVY

For a gpu, because the one in this build is specific, I would suggest R9 270X, GTX 960, Amd Radeon RX 480.

Could you specify the purpose of the computer?

I'd mostly use the computer for school projects and gaming.. the build looks nice btw

My 270x's are starting to get strained in games and VRAM is becoming an issue with higher textures and newer games..

So that build would probably work perfectly. I made that with your exact purpose in mind, but my client bailed right before I ordered the parts, so I would love if someone could make use of it.

and this is my current CPU: AMD FX-8800p Radeon R7, 12 Compute Cores 4C+8G 2.10 GHz
