Should I use this rig for folding?

I've got an old machine with an athlon 800mhz, 1gb of DDR ram, A Diamond Stealth S540, running Ubuntu 11.01. Should I use it for folding? I've also got my old backup rig that has an 1800+, FX5200, 1gb DDR, running Windows server 08 (I think). I'm wanting to get into folding so any help would be greatly valued.

Probably going to have to just try it out and tell us how it goes... you won't be getting many points out of them at all.

Let's be nice and say it's not much... if you have the resources for it, you can always try.

I've got an hp rig that has an OEM fx-6100 @ 3100mhz, Radeon hd 7450, 10gb DDR3. I'm using it as a general work pc rn, then again, I could always just do all my work on my gaming rig.

hell no. my rig does over 100,000ppd

Do you fold all day? Are you folding 0x17 projects? I figured a 7970 + 8 cores would get you more then 100k ppd per day.

not 24/7, I drop it down when i'm gaming, but otherwise, yes. and i am folding 0x17....

plus, the client always leaves 1 core free.
