Is there something wrong in my build ?
6 minutes ago, KhaledJan said:I’m writing this post as I am a new member to the PC community, and I just came across a build that I really like in terms of specs, looks, components, and benchmarks results -I’ve seen it on a youtube video but I don’t know if it’s alright to post the link here in the forum-. It costs around 2800$, yes it is weird to throw that amount of money on a 1st build, but more likely I won’t do it again -I’m not planning to become PC build youtuber or youtube gamer or twitcher and I’m not a video editor- you can call me an enthusiest and that’s about it. I have a gaming Laptop; Asus ROG G750JM and I’m planning to move on to gaming desktop PCs that can run 1080p easily at 60 FPS and more and an AVG FPS of 40-60 in 4K.
Please look at my Hardware and tell me if there is anything wrong in them -although I’m not questioning who built it in the video I saw- but if there are recommendations for alternative parts that would help me a lot. Also I have questions and concerns about certain things about the build I’d much appreaciate if you answered them.

what do you recommend ?
My Concerns
A. Are there any concerns about this build to run on 4k at 40-60 FPS along with the other hardware ? Do you recommend like better CPU or better motherboard or 32GB of RAM instead of 16GB ? Anything rather than the GPUs since I already and only bought them -they were on sale for 469.99$ per peice- and I’m stuck with them for now. Unless an extra GPU of the same model is beneficial.
B. I watched Linus’s video about PSU and checked the estimated Wattage for these components and they recommended 850W. But the guy in the video chose 750W what Shoukd I choose ?
C. This part might sound complicated so bare with me please.
In the video he used the SP120 LED fans and served as an intake, and placed them on the radiator of the H100i Cooler and placed the H100i in front of the case from the inside, so the SP120 fans are in the middle between the H100i radiator and the chasse. Then he placed the AF120 fans on the other side of the H100i radiator. Of course the AF120 LED fan served as an exaust and the dual AF140 LED fans were on top of the chasse from the inside.
C1. My question about this long story part is do you think that the way he placed the fans with the cooler is correct ? I mean does anybody did that in their build ? I’ve watched A LOT of PC builds before and after I saw this one and I’ve never seen anyone uses 4 fans on the H100i radiator, especially placing the LED ones like he did where no LED lighting will ever be seen ! I have to mention that a lot of people commented on the video about the twist he made with H100i wires so it could reach the CPU.
C2. Also, 7 cooling fans have been used and I can tell that 6 of them -as descibed above- were used as intake and only the rear fan was used as an exaust. Now would this be balanced air flow ? I’m concerned about buying too much fans and crowding the inside of the case and having the fans working against each other.
Thanks a lot and sorry the long post
Go with the beefier PSU, the 750 would likely be enough but just to give yourself some headroom, the 850 would be ideal. Really wish you didn't spend your money on the 980ti's
2 1070's will out perform them and cost about the same amount if not slightly cheaper.
C1: Linus did a very excellent video demonstrating fan configurations on radiators. All you will need is 2 on it and the general consensus is a pull configuration only because it makes cleaning easier as all you will need to do is spray some air through the radiator and the fans will pull that dust right out.
C2: Long story short, you dont need that many case fans. Watch this video.
