Unless the connections are coming from the graphics card, it's not using it at all. The card is literally doing nothing.

The display is currently running off the Quadro like ive said since the start.

I managed to make both ports fit into the quadro now so I guess problem is solved. However I had to grind down a part of a DVI adapter lmao

Hello,

I recently bought a second monitor for my dads PC.

The PC has an old Quadro 600 GPU, however it only has 2 ports and for some reason I cannot plug 2 cables into it.

Is there a way of running one monitor from the GPU and one from the onboard graphics?

He is running Windows 7 also.

All display connectors must come from the same video device. You can't run HDMI to both onboard and graphics outputs.

So unless there's two ports and the motherboard, or two ports on the graphics card, you can't run dual monitors.

You can also buy and splitter for it, I'm unsure if it would extend or duplicate the displays though.

How would I go about using the onboard only then?

Its currently using the Quadro for display, how do I swap it to use the onboard instead?

Just plug the connectors into the motherboard.

I run 3 monitors off of a K2000 and whatever iGPU's in the 4670k, so it is possible. That being said, I'm not sure if your motherboard's compatible. Do you have the manual?

Probably had a dual link connector.

Eh if it works, it works. Glad you got it going.

You can run monitors from multiple gpu at once. I have done this many times with different gpu from both nvidia and amd.

Multiple GPUs yes, but mixing onboard with it, I do not think it will work properly in accordance to drivers.

Laptops work quite differently than dedicated GPUs....
